How do I add a customer?
Adding a customer requires a user to have security access to the Master Customer Table. Use the Main Menu Browse > Add, Edit or Delete Customers and the Master Customer Table will open. Click on the Add Customer button.
How do I delete a customer? Deleting a customer requires a user to have security access to the Master Customer Table. Select or highlight the customer record that you wish to delete. Click on the Delete button.
How do I delete a Service Order?
Deleting a Service Order requires a user to have security access to the Program Administration and Audit Orders for Billing sections.
Open the Audit Orders for Billing window. Select the Service Order that you wish to delete and using your mouse press the right-click button.
Select the Delete option from the mouse-pop-up window.
How do I reassign a Service Order that was created for the wrong customer?
Reassigning a Service Order to a different customer requires a user to have security access to the Program Administration and Audit Orders for Billing sections.
1. Open the Service Order window that you wish to reassign to a different customer. You will need to know the Customer Master Reference Number of the Customer that will be assigned to the existing Service Order, which you have opened.
2. Select the Administration Tab on the Service Order window.
3. Replace the existing number in the Customer Reference Number field with the appropriate Customer Master Reference Number.

How do I 'unlock' a Service Order?
Unlocking a Service Order requires a user to have security access to the Program Administration.
SWORD prohibits more than one user from opening a single Service Order simultaneously.
Therefore, a special 'lock' is placed on the Service Order and information about the user that opened the Service Order is recorded along with the date and time opened.
1. To unlock the Service Order select FILE > Program Administration and select the Edit SO Locked by Current User option.
2. Select and open the appropriate Service Order to Unlock.
3. Uncheck the Currently Edited field and click on the OK button. The window will close and the Service Order will be available for use again.
How Do I Use the Query button?
Using Query On Customer Browse Table
Select the Query Button.
Click on the OK button and the Customer Browse Table will appear with only the records that the matches the Query.
Using Query On Items Browse Table
Select the Query Button on the Items Browse Table.
Click on the Insert Button.
Select a field to query by clicking on the drop-down arrow.
Select an Operator from the Operator Column.
Enter the Value for the query.
Click on the OK button and the Items Browse Table will appear with only the records that the matches the Query.
